A Boeing 727 found burned in northern Mali. According to UN officials, the plane was carrying about 10 tons of cocaine coming from South America. After unloading their cargo, the smugglers set fire to the device, either because it was damaged or because they no longer needed it. This gives an idea of the importance of drug trafficking in the region and the resources available traffickers.
